Crazy Busy!
I have been insanely busy the last week or so! We sold a house, bought a house (well “under contract” anyway) and my kids were sick - so minimal blogging for a few days.
Today I’m trying to make a dent in my “to-do” list. The beauty of a list is the ability to cross things off - a great sense of accomplishment - the downside is my list is 4 pgs of legal pad paper long….. I’ll get to the end someday.
I just wrote an article that’s going to go up on the Blizzard Newsletter (not yet, hopefully later today) about using forums to establish yourself as an expert. I think a lot of travel & tourism business owners dont really “get” the beauty of this. No they cant directly advertise their property, but they can certainly promote tourism to their area. Travelers always want the “inside scoop” on where to stay or where to eat.
More later, I have some other good stuff coming up in the next weeks - including a whitepaper on travel & tourism statistics from a wide variety of resources. I think people in the hospitality industry really search hard for this information and we’re trying to put somethign together that’s comprehensive. Our goal is to update the stats & add more each quarter and keep releasing it as a morphing entity…we’ll see how that goes (see my post on getting things done in a mid-size SEM company)
