Blogger-Friendly Foods List!

So i was inspired by my friend mary’s “at her desk” lunch today to start a list of foods that bloggers and other computer addicts like due to their ease of consumption. Keep in mind - keyboard snackers always need a can of air and a few q-tips around to clean things out - my spacebar sticks - a LOT!

Here’s my start - add yours in the comments!

  1. beef jerkey
  2. corndogs
  3. chips
  4. veggies snacks
  5. pizza pockets
  6. Blogger Breakfast Burrito - pancake w/ a maple-flavored sausage stuffed inside
  7. icecream on a stick
  8. kebabs
  9. anything on a stick
  10. beer can hat w/ long straw (also good for soda, slimfast or ensure - depending upon your preference)
  11. chips
  12. Crackers of any shape sort or flavor

Okay you keep going and I’ll keep adding after I go find something that I can eat while I blog and then clean out of my keyboard

Is Linkbuilding Still Important?

Okay - so google has said they’re going to start monitoring paid links and looking to see what people are doing to “control” the linking to and from their site.  It makes me wonder what the ultimate goal is?  Have they noticed how WE ALL KNOW that linkbuilding is one of the most important aspects of a good SEO campaign - so they’re devaluing it?  What - ultimately is the point?

I was talking with my co-hort here at the office and wondering what IS going to be the next “big thing” in SEO.  Of course social networking is on the “maybe” list - along with mobile and local.  In the day and age of personalized search - you cant help but think Local and Mobile will soon come into play in a big way.

Nincompoop Day!

Okay - yes - today was a good day with one of my articles going live - but do you ever have days when you think every person you talk to is from mars?  I mean honestly - how to people function - let alone procreate - there should be a test!

Speaking of Nincompoops - what is Google thinking - I mean honestly?  Asking people to rat out their paid links?  That’s like telling the cop who pulled you over for speeding you’re drunk - duh?

Another Chapter in the Book of SEO Mom!

SEW LogoWell - my third article was published today at SearchEngineWatch.com and I’m really enjoying writing over there.  I’m always reading and learning and it’s nice to know I can regurgitate some of that information into a format that might help others learn something too.

The gang over at SEW are great and everyone has been very nice and patient with me - a great outfit to write for.  You can subscribe to the “Little Biz” column and have my articles emailed to you every other tuesday - which is pretty neat - I subscribed my mom ;)
Check out my articles if you have a mind to - and while you’re there read all of the articles - if you’re a business person or even if you just dabble online - there’s something for everyone.

FInally - I hope!

Okay - so I build blogs for others and I help get them running - but i NEVER knew now much of a hassle this hosting thing was!  Jez - i have people at work who do this for me and setting it up on my own is nuts.

I need to write a .htaccess file so my nonwww resolves to www. - i did it once and it blew the whole damn thing up so I’m starting over.  I need a beer.

Happy Friday!
